Warning! Please Read Before Removing Compressor Packaging

During shipment, panels and doors may have shifted. As the outer wrapping is removed from the compressor, these panels may fall and cause personal injury and damage to the panel.
 
For your convenience, the door key is included with the outer package of information secured to the compressor. Using this key, please ensure each panel is locked and secured in place before removing the wrapping.
 
 

Receiving KAESER Shipments

Do not accept the delivery or let the truck driver leave until you have inspected it.
  1. Always inspect the packaging for signs of damage
  2. Always remove crating and packaging to inspect the equipment
  3. Describe any damage to the package or product on the bill of lading/delivery form
  4. If there is damage, the driver should call it in to his office on the spot and provide information for filing the freight claim
  5. Have the driver sign or initial next to any notations
  6. Keep a copy of the driver’s paperwork
Once you accept a shipment, you are responsible for repairing any damage you may find.

 Receiving Instructions

For your protection, please immediately read the following:

Do not sign the shipper’s paperwork until completing the following steps:

  • Note any damage to the outer packaging.
  • If shipment is supplied with Tip and Tell indicators, note if the indicators have tripped.
  • Note if the packaging shows signs of repair or is non-factory type packaging.
  • Open the outer packaging and inspect the contents. Be sure to note if any internal damage is found.


WARNING: During shipment it is possible for the compressor doors and panels to have been dislodged. Be sure to secure the doors/panels before removing the outer packaging.

If any damage is found, be sure to note the damage on the shipper’s paperwork when signing for the package. The shipper should sign or initial your notes.

Once the package reaches its final destination, please review the information supplied inside the electrical cabinet door.


IMPORTANT: Any shipping damage must be reported to the shipping company. Following these guidelines will help you resolve any disputes with the shipping company in the easiest manner possible.

Installation Instructions

Thank you for purchasing this KAESER Product. To ensure proper installation and trouble-free operation, please consider the following:

  • Read the installation section of the Service Manual. Be sure to follow all recommendations. 
  • All electrical connections should be made by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC, and all applicable national, provincial, and local codes.
  • Many compressors are supplied with a discharge piping adapter for the aftercooler. Be sure to install the discharge adapter before attaching any compressed air piping.
  • All piping connections should be made by a qualified technician in accordance with all applicable national, state, and local codes.
  • Please use a short length of flexible air piping to connect your compressor or dryer to system piping. Be sure that the flexible piping is rated for the compressor’s rated pressure and discharge temperature.
  • It is important to position your equipment such that hot air is not discharged or drawn into the unit’s intake. Room temperature should remain between 40°F and 105°F year round, unless stated otherwise in the service manual.
  • Remember to contact your local authorized KAESER Distributor for any assistance you may require during installation and to start your new KAESER equipment.

Start-Up Instructions

Please consider the following when you are ready to start the compressor:

  • Call your local authorized KAESER distributor to receive start-up assistance. If unsure who your distributor is, use the distributor lookup or call 1-800-477-1416 for assistance.
  • Review the Service Manual regarding proper start-up.
  • Start the compressor according to the manual.
  • To validate your warranty, a Start-up Form must be completed by a factory-trained technician.  The authorized distributor will then send the completed form to KAESER COMPRESSORS CANADA.
  • Be sure to order a complete set of replacement filters and lubricant from your local authorized KAESER Distributor.
